Antrel Rolle carted to locker room, could miss first game since 2009

Chicago Bears safety Antrel Rolle suffered a lower-leg injury on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders and had to be carted into the locker room, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.

The injury was not pretty, as Rolle had his leg rolled up on by another player. It looked like a high-ankle sprain to former NFL head team physician David J. Chao, MD, who said a return will be "difficult."

Rolle, 32, has been an accountable playmaker for the majority of his career. He hasn't missed a game since 2009, when he was a member of the Arizona Cardinals. If the diagnosis is, in fact, a high ankle sprain, the Rolle will have a tough time keeping that streak alive.

Now down a defensive back with valuable Super Bowl experience, the winless Bears are even less threatening.
