Tyron Woodley fires back at fans telling him who he should fight next

Tyron Woodley is tired of hearing everybody else tell him who he should fight.

The newly crowned welterweight champion has heard a chorus of opinions about his next opponent, especially after he declared that he was gunning for a big money fight against either Nick Diaz or Georges St-Pierre.

Woodley has defended his selection of opponents over top ranked contender Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson but he made it even clearer in a vitriolic Instagram post from the weekend.

"You can say what you like but I'm the undisputed UFC champion of the world. Deal with it cause I'm not going anywhere anytime soon," Woodley wrote in the post.

"Funny how fans know exactly who I should fight, and who deserves the next shot. Not to mention selectively choose when you want this to be an entertainment and sport."

Woodley continued his rant while pointing out the hypocrisy in bashing his selection of opponents or flat out telling him who he should fight when fans don't want him showing up at their place of employment doing the same thing.

"Please put your work address below so I can show up to your jobs and tell you and your boss if you deserve a raise or who deserves it above you. How you should do your job, and repeat verbatim like a sound bite what I hear others say about you," Woodley said. "Comical."

The UFC has yet to weigh in on Woodley's next opponent although there have been indications that St-Pierre might be interested in the matchup as he looks to return to action for the first time in three years.

St-Pierre left the sport in 2013 while also surrendering the welterweight title at that time without ever legitimately losing the belt.

A fight with Woodley would certainly do big business for both fighters with St-Pierre's return expected to garner a ton of attention across the world.

Either way, Woodley would appreciate everyone minding their own business when it comes to his decision about potential opponents or how he chooses to defend his title.

"Maybe you should focus on your career cause God got me," Woodley wrote in closing.
