Anthony "Rumble" Johnson flattens Glover Teixeira with 13-second KO

LAS VEGAS — Anthony "Rumble" Johnson is known as the deadliest knockout striker in the world at 205 pounds.

He solidified that reputation once again at UFC 202 after he demolished former title contender Glover Teixeira in just 13 seconds to win his third straight fight and likely earn another crack at light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

It took Johnson just one exchange to put Teixeira away after the two fighters met in the center of the Octagon and exchanged a few strikes.

Johnson only needed one right uppercut that absolutely blasted Teixeira and he immediately went crashing to the canvas in a heap.

Johnson jumped down for one more quick shot but the fight was already over as the referee stopped the contest in a hurry to protect Teixeira from taking any more damage.

Johnson has looked better than ever in his last three fights as he's earned three consecutive knockouts since falling to Cormier in his previous title shot in 2015.

Following this latest win, Johnson pointed at Cormier sitting cage side at the event and called for a rematch against him later this year with the belt on the line.

"Daniel, you and me baby, I'm coming for you," Johnson shouted.

UFC officials haven't made any decisions yet, but Johnson's latest win almost assuredly puts him directly in line for Cormier and a light heavyweight title shot in the very near future.
