Chelsea Shine scored 20 points and Virginia knocked off No. 21 TCU 59-55 on Saturday at the Paradise Jam.

Lexie Gerson and Paulisha Kellum added 10 points each for the Cavaliers (4-3), who rallied to take a 55-53 lead with 38.7 seconds left. Micah Garoutte had a chance to get the Frogs within one with 12 seconds left, but the senior's lay-up rolled out. She made one of two free throws, and Virginia added two more foul shots down the stretch to secure the victory.

Emily Carter scored 14 points to lead TCU (3-3). Starr Crawford added 13 points, and Helena Sverrisdottir had 10 points and nine rebounds.

Crawford gave TCU the lead at 27-26 early in the second half, but Virginia regained the momentum moments later. The Cavaliers pushed their lead to eight on an 11-3 run with 10 minutes left in the game, before Sverrrisdottir connected from behind the arc to make the score 43-40.

Freshman Briesha Wynn tied the ballgame at 43-43 a few moments later on a 3 of her own, part of an 8-0 run by the Frogs, but Virginia kept answering every time the game got close.
