UFC lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez takes a shot at Conor McGregor's cardio training
Conor McGregor is using his record earnings to take his MMA training to all new heights, but it’s safe to say UFC 205 opponent Eddie Alvarez is not impressed.
McGregor posted a picture of himself doing some cardio training on a stationary bike while boasting that “something big is coming.”
Alvarez saw the post and took to Twitter to let McGregor know he’ll need more than an advanced cardio regimen to beat him on Nov. 12.
McGregor has gone to great lengths to prepare for fights since losing to Nate Diaz earlier this year. He reportedly spent upwards of $300,000 dollars on his training camp for his fight at UFC 202, bringing in some of the best talent from around the world to mimic Diaz.
For UFC 205, however, McGregor says he probably won’t have to go that far in his preparation since he’s been beating fighters like Alvarez his entire career.
With just three weeks to go until UFC 205, we’re sure to see plenty more jabs between the two champions.
