Philip Brook elected vice chairman at Wimbledon

The 53-year-old Brook has been a member of the Wimbledon tournament committee since 1997 and a member of the All England Club since 1989. He was also captain of the Cambridge University tennis team in 1977.

Wimbledon said Friday that Phillips had been due to retire in December after 10 years as chairman but was asked to remain for another year to allow "his successor to have one year as vice chairman."
