Swiss club FC Sion has hired the coach of last-place Lausanne-Sport in its eighth coaching change since the start of last season.

Sion says Laurent Roussey begins work Tuesday, replacing Michel Decastel, who was fired Monday and returns to the club's training staff.

Decastel was in his third spell as Sion coach and Roussey now begins his third stint.

Roussey was Sion coach in 2011 when it was kicked out of the Europa League for fielding ineligible players, sparking a failed legal battle against FIFA, UEFA and the Swiss Football Association.

Sion is ninth in the 10-team top division.

Its nine coaches since June 2012 include 2006 World Cup winner Gennaro Gattuso.

Lausanne says it has appointed former Switzerland midfielder Alexandre Comisetti as interim coach.
