Swans boss waits on defender

City boss Brendan Rodgers attempted to seal a trio of deadline day signings at the end of August when faced with a series of defensive injury problems, with Alan Tate's broken leg chief among them. And while Fede Bessone rejoined the club after being released by Leeds, Darnel Situ and Rafik Halliche's switches from Lens and Fulham failed to gain the required international clearance from FIFA and did not go through. Rodgers then turned his attention to bringing in free agents to boost numbers, but his efforts to sign former Bologna defender Moras on a short-term deal have faltered as the Swans again await clearance, this time from the Italian football federation (FIGC). Rodgers said: "Everything is agreed, he has signed but we are waiting on the paperwork. "I find it incredible that it takes so long, people at the club are working tirelessly to find a solution but as yet we have not. "The only good thing is he (Moras) has looked fitter every day with us and his adaptation to our work has gone well in the last two weeks. "It's not ideal but I don't worry about anything out of my control. But it is frustrating, you want the best players available. "This is a learning curve for us as we are at a new level, we are working with new players and federations, but as long as we find a solution sooner rather than later that will be the main objective." Rodgers will put 30-year-old Greece defender Moras into his squad for Saturday's trip to face Norwich at Carrow Road if the required paperwork comes through, but he does at least have some good news in the form of midfielder Leon Britton being back to full fitness after suffering with back spasms. Midfielder Kemy Agustien is still a couple of weeks away from making a return after a hamstring injury.
