Major League Soccer's disciplinary committee has doubled the suspension of Juninho to two games and fined the New York Red Bulls midfielder who kicked a ball at Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen during a dead-ball situation on April 17.

Juninho was given a red card for his conduct in second-half stoppage time, which results in an automatic one-game suspension. In addition to being out for last weekend's game against New England, the former Brazil international will miss New York's game at Toronto on Saturday.

The disciplinary committee said Monday his action was ''violent conduct that endangered the safety of his opponent.''
