Chelsea flop Alexandre Pato leads The Yellow Submarine past Osasuna in 3-1 victory

Villarreal continues to thrive under head coach Fran Escriba as The Yellow Submarine are one of only three teams in the league still unbeaten after six matches.

Former Chelsea loanee, Alexandre Pato fifth minute header gave Villarreal the lead, while Bruno Soriano, who converted a Panenka-style penalty in midweek against Real Madrid scored from the penalty spot to double the host’s lead in the 24th minute.

Foward Nicola Sansone added the third goal in the 39th minutes, before Osasuna midfielder Roberto Torres chipped in a consolation goal for the visitors.

Fran Escriba’s side has looked different with Aexlandre Pato in the line-up as the Brazilian forward eye for goal, superb technical ability and versatility has The Yellow Submarine sailing through La Liga thus far.

The 27-year-old can play anywhere in the front line, as a main striker, in a supporting role, or on the flank, where he can both create for his teammates and beat defenders with his incredible pace.

Antoine Griezmann is on fire

France forward Antoine Griezmann scored his fifth goal of the season as Atletico Madrid ousted 10-man Deportivo Corona.

    Griezmann criticized his club after disappointing draws against newly promoted outfit Alaves and Leganes in teams first two matches of the season.

    Griezmann said after a goalless against Leganes, “If we continue like this, we are only going to fight to avoid the drop.”

    The Atletico star has since done his talking on the pitch, producing five goals after teammate Saul Niguez questioned Griezmann comments.

    The victory sees Diego Simeone’s side one point within Barcelona and two behind leaders Real Madrid.
