MINNEAPOLIS — Oswaldo Arcia is quickly racking up the frequent flier miles.

The Twins placed outfielder Darin Mastroianni on the disabled list following Tuesday's game and recalled Arcia from Triple-A Rochester. Arcia made his major league debut Monday while Wilkin Ramirez was on paternity leave but was optioned back to Rochester after the game.

Now, he'll fly back to Minneapolis to join the Twins prior to Wednesday's series finale against the Angels.

Mastroianni is dealing with an ankle injury and re-aggravated it during Monday's game. He was originally slated to play left field in Tuesday's game and bat leadoff but was a late scratch. The injury has limited Mastroianni to two starts so far this year.

Arcia, a 21-year-old outfielder, collected his first major league hit in his first at-bat Monday and finished the game 1-for-3. He also committed an error in left field and was taken out for a defensive replacement late in the game. After going 1-for-4 on Tuesday with Rochester, Arcia is now batting .394 with three home runs and eight RBI in 10 games at Triple-A.
