Sen. John McCain calls Tyrann Mathieu 'Honey Bear' in speech congratulating Carolina

Longtime Arizona Senator and Cardinals fan John McCain took to the lectern on the senator floor on Monday to extoll the virtues of the NFC's Super Bowl representative, the Carolina Panthers. Poor McCain lost a bet to North Carolina senator Thom Tillis.

"I have no doubt we'll see the Panthers' explosive offense continue to have success in Super Bowl 50," McCain said of Carolina, which throttled the Panthers 49-15 in the NFC Championship Game.

McCain had a few more minutes at the microphone so he took the opportunity to commend his hometown Cardinals on a solid season. He also rattled off the name of the team's seven Pro Bowlers, including dynamic defensive back Tyrann Mathieu, the "Honey Bear."
