ARLINGTON, Texas – Texas first baseman Mike Olt, who has started just once since Aug. 17, will likely be in the starting lineup Monday against Tampa Bay left-hander David Price.
Olt has been slowed by plantar fasciitis in his right foot for more than a week.

"I don't know when I did it but it was a gradual thing," said Olt. "Every day it was getting worse and worse. I'm not sure how it happened."

Olt was available to pinch hit Saturday and Sunday. Texas manager Ron Washington said Olt would be in the starting lineup Monday.

"It was pretty bad but it's got a lot better the past couple of days," said Olt, who is hitting .182 with four RBIs. "Waking up it's gotten a little better to walk on."

Washington said Olt's injury had nothing to do with his decision to start Mitch Moreland against a left-hander Saturday. Moreland hit a homer off Minnesota lefty Brian Duensing.
