Oaklawn Park has canceled live thoroughbred racing at the track this weekend because of snow.

The announcement Friday means the operation will go a week without horses on the track or bettors at the windows. Racing also was canceled Thursday and Friday because the track was frozen following 3 inches of rain and three days of below-freezing temperatures.

Oaklawn general manager of racing David Longinotti said the track's plans to resume racing on Saturday and Sunday were wiped out when 3 inches of snow fell Friday.

The track has canceled live racing for six days this season, more than 10 percent of its 56-day live-racing season.
