ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Mike Napoli was out of the Texas Rangers starting lineup Wednesday night, but not because the catcher was hit on his helmet with a pitch the previous game.

Napoli said he was fine Wednesday. Manager Ron Washington said the reason Napoli wasn't in the lineup was because it was Yorvit Torrealba's turn to catch, and that Napoli was available to play.

Even after getting hit on the helmet near his left temple Tuesday night by Seattle's Blake Beavan, Napoli finished the game. Napoli got tested for a concussion after the game and said he was OK.

Washington also indicated Napoli was sore after catching Yu Darvish's debut on Monday night.

Napoli says soreness is part of catching, and that he signed up for it.
