MLS suspends, fines FC Dallas F Eric Hassli

NEW YORK (AP) -- The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended FC Dallas forward Eric Hassli for one game and fined him for violent conduct in a game at Montreal.

Hassli received the punishment for kicking Impact midfielder Davy Arnaud in the 84th minute of Saturday's game. Hassli drew a yellow card for the play, but the committee said further action was warranted.

The committee also suspended Real Salt Lake defender Christ Wingert for one game and fined him for crashing into Sporting KC forward Kei Kamara in the first minute of Saturday's game. He also is suspended for one game for receiving two yellow cards on the play.

Also, Portland Timbers defender Andrew Jean-Baptiste was fined for "embellishment" in the 18th minute of Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Union.
