Mavs-Thunder highest rated telecast of season

The Dallas Mavericks notched their highest television rating of the season and their best in nearly five years on FOX Sports Southwest on Monday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The game averaged a 5.5 Nielsen household rating in Dallas-Fort Worth, topping the previous season high 4.5 on Feb. 13 vs. the Clippers and Feb. 15 vs. the Nuggets. It also was the top rating for a Mavericks game on FOX Sports Southwest since a 6.2 on March 30, 2007 vs. the New York Knicks

The final 15 minutes of the game when the outcome was decided was the most watched program in Dallas-Fort Worth, scoring an 8.5 rating and 218,000 homes from 9:15-9:30 p.m. Overall, the game was seen in average of 142,450 homes.

Through 33 games this season, Mavericks games on FOX Sports Southwest are averaging a 3.0 rating and are up 41 percent over last year at this point of the season.
