Sylvia Fowles added another Western Conference Player of the Month award to her growing MVP resume Tuesday, winning the award for the third consecutive month.
Fowles is the first player since 2012 to be named Western Conference POTM for the first three months of the season and just third overall.
The honor is her eighth POTM award overall, surpassing teammate Maya Moore for second on the all-time list.
Fowles led the Lynx (19-2 overall) to a league-leading 7-1 record in July, averaging 21.1 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game.
She leads the WNBA with a 68.1 field-goal percentage, and is averaging 20.9 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game on the season.
