DETROIT -- Asked about the "closer situation," Tigers manager Jim Leyland said he's not sure "how it's going to play out" in Tuesday night's Game 3 of the American League Championship Series against the New York Yankees.

"I think I'm going to look at their lineup, see who's coming up, and go from there," Leyland said. "I can tell you right now I don't have a definite closer etched in stone for tonight, so I'm just going to wait and see how the situation develops."

The Tigers' closer throughout the regular season, Jose Verlander, has been rocked in his last two postseason appearances, including giving up a four-run lead in the ninth inning of Game 1 of the ALCS at Yankee Stadium.
