The Cleveland Cavaliers announced Tuesday night forward Anthony Bennett, the No. 1 pick in last year's draft, underwent both a tonsillectomy and an adenoidectomy at the Cleveland Clinic.
Per the club, the UNLV product is expected to be fully healed in time for the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas July 11-21. The procedures were planned to allow enough time to recover for that event.
Bennett, a 6-8 forward, averaged 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds in 52 games last season.
