6N: O'Connor, Pelo and Mermoz called up for for Italy match

PARIS (AP) Coach Guy Noves has kept faith with the players who took part in a France training camp for their opening Six Nations match against Italy next week.

Noves, who replaced Philippe Saint-Andre in November after France's humiliating exit in the Rugby World Cup quarterfinals, added three players as injury replacements.

Montpellier winger Marvin O'Connor, prop Vincent Pelo, and center Maxime Mermoz were summoned to cover for the injured Alexandre Dumoulin, Benjamin Fall, and Morgan Parra.

There are 10 uncapped players in the squad, including sevens star Virimi Vakatawa.

France kicks off its campaign against Italy at Stade de France on Feb. 6.
