Washington Capitals Re-Sign Forward to Two-Year Deal
The Washington Capitals Have Made a Depth Signing When They Announced the Deal with Nathan Walker.
The Washington Capitals made a small depth move Thursday afternoon when the team signed AHL forward Nathan Walker to a two-year two-way contract. The figures of the deal have yet to be released but since it's a two-way deal it probably won't be much.
Walker has earned 79 points (34g, 45a) in 202 career AHL games with Hershey.

Nathan Walker who is 23, registered 23 points last season for the Hershey Bears in 58 games, he also put up a very solid plus 11 rating. His 23 points from last season was a major drop from his 2015-16 campaign where he managed 41 in 73 games.
Walker originally began his hockey career in the Czech Republic where he had himself some solid seasons before coming over to North America when he was the very first Australian selected in the NHL Draft.
He's also won a solid amount of awards too, he won the Czech U18 Championship twice, once in 2008-09 and again in 2011-12 and a Division 2 World Championship Gold.
Selected 89th overall in the third round of the 2014 Entry Draft, Walker has seen some solid success in the AHL but has yet to break into the NHL. Hopefully, for him, he can make the jump in the next two years he just received. And while it's not a huge move for the Capitals in the present, it may pay dividends in the future.
