Blue Jackets 'set sights' on USWNT star Carli Lloyd
The Columbus Blue Jackets have one of the most entertaining Twitter accounts in the NHL, as it frequently posts amusing and lighthearted messages.
On Sunday, the Blue Jackets tried their hand at recruiting via Twitter, and their target was an elite scoring talent: U.S. women's national team midfielder Carli Lloyd. The 32-year-old recorded the first hat trick in a Women's World Cup final Sunday to help the national team clinch its first championship since 1999.

Lloyd did not respond personally to the Blue Jackets, but it's hard to blame her since she was in high demand Sunday. President Obama was even seeking time to meet with Lloyd and the entire USA team.
Thank you Mr. President! See you very soon at the White House!! https://t.co/B5haZJd1cA
