Cornerback Hayward misses first Packers practice

Green Bay Packers cornerback Casey Hayward, who led NFL rookies last season with a team-high six interceptions, may miss two weeks of training camp because of a hamstring injury.

Coach Mike McCarthy said Friday that Hayward suffered the injury while training on his own before coming in to camp. Hayward walked the sideline Friday while his teammates went through practice.

Defensive end Mike Neal also missed practice with what McCarthy called an abdominal injury. McCarthy said he thought Neal would be fine but could also miss a couple weeks. Hayward and Neal weren't on injury reports in the offseason.

Running back DuJuan Harris also sat out Friday with a knee injury, while McCarthy said cornerback Davon House and linebacker Jamari Lattimore missed practice due to illness.
