SONOMA, Calif. (AP) Eddie Krawiec won the NHRA Pro Bike Battle on Saturday in the NHRA Sonoma Nationals and also topped qualifying for the main event.

Krawiec beat Scotty Pollacheck and Jerry Savoie in the first two rounds and won the $7,500 top prize in the all-star bonus race when teammate Andrew Hines turned on the red-light in the final round.

''I was a little surprised that Drew red-lighted,'' Krawiec said. ''I actually expected him to cut the tree down. I thought he'd be 0.20 or better but he said he changed way he held the (clutch) lever and we know what happens when you change your routine. His bike has come around a little and so has mine.'' Vance & Hines team enough. We have a great bike for tomorrow and I hope we can repeat what we did today.''

Krawiec top qualifying with a 6.787-second run at 196.99 mph on a Harley-Davidson.

Antron Brown qualified No. 1 in Top Fuel, Jack Beckman topped the Funny Car field, and Chris McGaha was the fastest in Pro Stock.

Brown claimed his fifth No. 1 of the season and 42nd of his career in Top Fuel with his track-record performance Friday of 3.707 at 326.95. He has three victories this season.

No one in Funny Car was able to improve on Beckman's record 3.921-second run from Friday. However, Beckman was able to run quick enough in the day's final run to certify his 3.921 as the provisional national record, which comes with a 20-point bonus.

McGaha ran a 6.499 at 212.36, also on Friday.
