ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates -- Abu Dhabi will continue to host Grand Prix races after signing a multiyear extension Thursday.

The Yas Marina circuit hosted its inaugural race in 2009 and the current license was set to expire in 2016.

In a statement Thursday, Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management announced a new deal has been signed, without revealing the length of the agreement.

The track is built on a man-made island and the race has a unique feel to it, starting at sunset and finishing under floodlights.
