Holliday bumped from lineup with back injury

Published Jun. 9, 2012 9:06 p.m. ET

Matt Holliday was a late scratch from Saturday night's game against the Cleveland Indians because of back spasms and that caused several tweaks to the St. Louis Cardinals' lineup.

Allen Craig replaced Holliday in left field and hit cleanup, moving up one spot in the lineup. Carlos Beltran moved from center field to right and Shane Robinson started in center and batted eighth. Matt Adams moved up one spot to fifth, ahead of David Freese and Daniel Descalso, who also moved up one slot.

Only three spots were totally unaffected - leadoff man Rafael Furcal, Yadier Molina batting third for the first time in his career and pitcher Kyle Lohse batting ninth.
