No. 3-ranked golfer Jordan Spieth appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon on Monday where, among other things, he told a funny Bill Murray story.

The eccentric actor-comedian, Murray, starred in the classic comedy "Caddyshack" and grew up around golf. He also gets around to various Pro-Am events and has played a few rounds with the 23-year-old Spieth. Take it away, Spieth (a transcript follows):

"He's one of the most fun people I've ever played golf with. The guy just works over a crowd, the ultimate entertainer," Spieth said. "He's quirky, he's goofy and you love every part of it. The guy can for five and a half hours straight on every hole find a way to make one-liners, make people laugh.

"He most recently got a cigar [from a fan], and Murray walked over to my manager's 9-year-old son and gave it to him. The kid looks at it for a second and is like, 'What the hell am I supposed to do with this?'" Spieth said. "Murray goes, 'What, are you trying to quit?'"
