West Virginia got some bad news Sunday after an MRI revealed that standout offensive tackle Yodny Cajuste sustained a right knee (ACL) injury Saturday during the Missouri game and will miss the remainder of the season. The 6-5, 305-pound former basketball player has blossomed into a terrific player for WVU. Mountaineers offensive coordinator Joe Wickline, a veteran O-line coach, compared Cajuste's talents to that of his old protege from his Oklahoma State days Russell Okung, who went to the NFL as a top 10 pick.

"He has a really big upside and is gonna be a star," Wickline told FOX Sports on Friday of the Floridian who has packed on some 50 pounds since coming to WVU. "He has terrific change of direction and balance. He's still young. When Russell Okung was 18, he played like a pro. That's coming with Yodny."

After redshirting in 2014, Cajuste played in seven games as a redshirt freshman in 2015 and started six. He started the first six games of the season until a knee injury at Baylor sidelined him until playing against Arizona State in the 2016 Cactus Bowl. Cajuste has already used up his redshirt year.

Cajuste was rolled up on in the first half against Mizzou and was replaced by Colton McKivitz, a redshirt freshman with good length and toughness whom the WVU staff is also very high on. McKivitz did very well, especially considering that he was matched up against Mizzou All-American DE Charles Harris, who managed just two tackles and no TFLs in the whole game.
