Freeman, Tyner named to Doak Walker Award watch list

Oregon's running back tandem of Royce Freeman and Thomas Tyner have both been named to the 2015 Doak Walker Award watch list.

The Doak Walker Award is presented annually to the nation's top running back.

As a freshman in 2014, Freeman burst on to the scene and quickly proved that he was Oregon's most reliable running back. On the season, Freeman ran for 1,365 yards and scored 18 rushing touchdowns.

Tyner, a junior, rushed for 711 yards and nine touchdowns in 2014. His best performance of the season came in the Rose Bowl versus Florida State when he rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.
