Huskies star Kemba Walker will throw out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium next Wednesday, the New York Daily News reported Thursday.

The 20-year-old junior All-American, who grew up in the Bronx and is a Yankees fan, led the University of Connecticut to the national championship Monday night at Reliant Stadium in Houston, defeating Butler 53-41.

The 6-foot-1 point guard will throw out the first pitch before the Yankees play the Baltimore Orioles on April 13.

Walker, who once starred for Manhattan's Rice High, was named the Final Four's Most Outstanding Player this year.
