Devin Gibson had 23 points, 10 rebounds and five assists Monday night to lead UTSA past Troy 81-70.

Gibson was 10-for-13 from the free-throw line and contributed three steals for the Roadrunners (3-1). He recorded his first double-double since a 16-point, 10-rebound night against Texas-Pan American on Dec. 18, 2008.

Melvin Johnson III added 14 points, Jeromie Hill 11 and Tyler Wood 10 for UTSA. T.J. Williams matched Gibson's 10 rebounds while playing just 15 minutes.

Vernon Taylor led all scorers with 25 points for the Trojans (1-3).

UTSA never trailed and led by as many as 18 points in the second half.
