GREENWOOD, Miss. (AP) Jordan Washington hit a falling 3-pointer at the buzzer Saturday night as Mississippi Valley State University rallied to beat Jackson State 69-66 in a wild finish.

Trailing 66-64, MVSU's DeAngelo Priar got a steal and a bucket to tie it at 66 and drew a foul, but couldn't convert the three-point play. Jackson State lost the ball out of bounds and MVSU (7-14, 3-5 Southwestern Athletic Conference) worked for the last shot, with Washington picking up a loose ball in the corner and launching an off-balance, two-handed push-shot that dropped in as time expired.

Jackson State (7-13, 3-5) led 30-29 at halftime, then built an 11-point lead on long 3-pointers by Javres Brent. Julysses Nobles hit two free throws with less than a minute to play and Jackson State led 66-61, but Washington hit a trey to make it 66-64, then Priar stole the ball on the Tigers' next possession.
