Delaware holds off College of Charleston 71-68

NEWARK, Del. (AP) Kyle Anderson had 14 points on Saturday, leading five Delaware players in double figures for a 71-68 victory over College of Charleston.

Delaware (5-16, 4-6 Colonial Athletic Association) had its largest lead at 65-50 on Anderson's 3-pointer with 2:30 left. Charleston (6-17, 1-9) rallied but never really threatened from there.

The Blue Hens took the lead for good during a 19-5 run that started early in the second half and ended at 48-40 with 11:46 to play. Charleston quickly cut the lead back down to three points but would get no closer.

Marvin King-Davis and Chivarsky Corbett had 11 points apiece for Delaware. Cazmon Hayes and Devonne Pinkard each added 10.

Canyon Barry had 17 points and Cameron Johnson 16 for the Cougars, who shot 48 percent from the field but just 5 of 18 from 3-point range. Joe Chealey added 14 points and Adjehi Baru 11.
