Davidson lands 6 in double figures, clobbers Duquesne 95-69

DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) Brian Sullivan hit five 3-pointers as part of his season-high 23 points, leading six into double-figure scoring as hot-shooting Davidson defeated Duquesne 95-69 in the first meeting of the two teams on Saturday night.

Davidson (15-6, 6-4) is in its first season in the Atlantic 10 Conference and is the A10's highest-scoring team.

Peyton Aldridge added 19 points on 8 of 11 shooting, Tyler Kalinoski scored 16 with nine assists, Jordan Barham scored 12 and Nathan Ekwu and Jordan Watkins chipped in 11 each. The Wildcats never trailed and shot a scorching 60.3 percent from the field (38-63) - a season best - with 13 3-pointers.

Duquesne (7-14, 2-8) was led by 13 points from L.G. Gill and 12 from Dominique McKoy. Jeremiah Jones and TySean Powell added 11 each as the Dukes shot just 45 percent with 13 turnovers.
