TACKLE TOMORROW, TODAY Event

On Sunday, August 20, the inaugural charity golf tournament will be held at Topgolf The Colony. Co-hosts Charles

Haley, NFL Hall of Fame, and Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys Quarterback, have partnered to support youth in Texas.

Dak, Charles and friends are working together to support Huddle Up for Life and Tackle Tomorrow. The goal is to

make a significant impact and make a positive difference in the lives of Texas youth in need.

ABOUT Huddle Up for Life

Huddle Up for Life, a charitable foundation, began to honor the life of Peggy Prescott, the mother of Mississippi State

quarterback Dak Prescott. The foundation provides a means for family members facing terminal illness to spend this

cherished time with their student athletes. Our goal is to provide financial assistance, arrangements, travel, comfort and

special needs necessary to help families spend valuable time together when time is limited."

ABOUT Tackle Tomorrow

Children who struggle to read and write need motivation and inspiration. And they need it all the time. In the classroom,

out of the classroom. Before, during and especially after school. Charles Haley walked the path many of our youth walk

today. This five-time world champion in football went to school because he had to, not because he wanted to. Charles

now realizes the potential to love learning exists inside each child and thinks technology is the way to find it. Tackle

Tomorrow was founded to provide computers, tablets, trained instructors and Istation Reading Program to after school

programs with children at risk.

If a child is not reading on grade-level by 3rd grade their chances for success in life become greatly diminished. Tackle

Tomorrow is providing instructors, computers, or the most advanced education software (Istation Reading) to Jubilee

Community Center, Davids’ Place Head Start Center and two Tackle Summer Slide Reading Camp sites at Catholic

Charities and Cummings Recreation Center. We are seeing the children who use Istation Reading with fidelity in after

school programs, Head Start, and summer reading camps are measurably ahead of their peers. We are making a

difference today. But we need the funds to make Istation available to more children in more programs serving at-risk

children across Dallas so they can tackle tomorrow.
