Moise Kean becomes the first player born in the 2000s to play in Champions League

Earlier in the month, 16-year-old Juventus striker Moise Kean became the first Serie A player born in the 2000s to ever turn out in the league. On Tuesday, he made further history, becoming the first player born after the year 2000 to make an appearance in Champions League.

Juventus were tied 1-1 with Sevilla when Kean came on for a disappointing Miralem Pjanic in the 84th minute (the same minute he made his debut in) and made Champions League history. Juve went on to win 3-1, securing their spot in the knockout rounds, and Kean gave his brother even more reason to be (rightfully) emotional.

Kean was born on February 28th, 2000, making him 16 years and 267 days old. With his appearance he becomes the sixth-youngest player to figure in Europe's premier club competition.

It's still early in the season, and Kean's already made history twice. The next step is getting on the scoresheet for Juventus. And with the way he's progressing? It's only a matter of time.

In the meantime, we can all just keep feeling old watching him.
