The Calgary Flames invited 10 new Canadian citizens to sing national anthem before game

The Calgary Flames had a very neat pregame ceremony before their contest against the Arizona Coyotes on Monday. Before the opening puck drop, the Flames welcomed 10 new Canadian citizens from three different parts of the world  -- Mongolia, India and the Philippines -- and invited them onto the ice to help sing the national anthem.

The three different families of new citizens were sworn in at the arena earlier in the day and apparently learned their new anthem pretty quickly, as they sang along with precision before the game.

It was a pretty cool and unique gesture by the Flames, and one that comes during the NHL's Hockey Is For Everyone month -- an initiative created to "drive positive social change and foster more inclusive communities."
