Tyrann Mathieu tries to survive in a hot car for a PETA PSA video

Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu decided to make a PSA video for PETA during his time off before training camp begins in a couple of weeks.

Mathieu shows in the video just how hot a car can get in warm weather, and the consequences of leaving your dog in the car for a long time.

"If you're going to make a dog a part of your family, then make him a part of your family. Don't treat him like you wouldn't treat someone you cared about or someone you loved," Mathieu said in the video, via NOLA.com.

The car reached a temperature of 120 degrees.
