Anti-Kaepernick: Bronco reportedly admits using racial slur in game

During the Broncos' 31-17 victory over the Jets on Sunday, on-field microphones captured Denver tight end Julius Thomas yell after scoring a touchdown, "It's so f**king easy! It's so easy!" But it's what the mics didn't catch that has another Bronco reportedly ponying up to the league.

Defensive lineman Terrance Knighton was fined $11,025 by the league on Wednesday, reportedly for "abusive language" on the PAT following that very touchdown by Thomas late in the first half — a transgression which also earned Knighton a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

Later on Wednesday, the Denver Post reported that Knighton confirmed the flag and fine were for directing a racial slur toward the Jets following the PAT, though The Post also reported Knighton would not elaborate when asked further about the incident later Wednesday.

News of the fine came on the same day that 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick received word his fine for alleged use of a racial slur was cut in half upon appeal. That fine, also $11,025, was handed down after San Francisco's Week 2 loss to Chicago. According to FOX Sports 1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo, the fine was reduced when the NFL could find no evidence Kaepernick ever used a racial slur.

After hearing of the reduction, Kaepernick on Wednesday said, ''It should've all been gone,'' Kaepernick said. ''If you're going to say I used a racial slur and come back and say I didn't say it, then I don't know what I'm being fined for.''

Also according to The Post, Broncos rookie linebacker Lamin Barrow also expected to be fined for throwing a punch that led to his ejection against the Jets.
