Tate says he wants to stay with Seahawks

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) Wide receiver Golden Tate will become a free agent after the season and would like to stay with the Seattle Seahawks.

Tate said during Super Bowl media day on Tuesday that his preference would be to remain with the Seahawks, the only franchise he's played for. Tate was drafted in the second round by Seattle in 2010 and was the Seahawks' leading receiver during the 2013 regular season with 64 receptions for 898 yards and five touchdowns.

Tate says he hasn't thought about his pending free agency, focusing solely on Sunday's game against Denver. Tate added that he can't say enough great things about Seattle and he would ''like to stay here, but we'll see. Only time will tell.''
