New Orleans Saints cornerback P.J. Williams was carted off the field in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. Williams appeared to take two knees to the head on the play, suffering an apparent head injury.

Williams was placed on a stretcher before being carted off the field. The Saints announced that he is being evaluated for a concussion.

Williams was attempting to make a tackle on Giants tight end Larry Donnell, but as he was making the tackle, Saints linebacker Craig Robertson’s knee hit the back of Williams’ head. Immediately after the play was over, players signaled to the sideline for medical assistance.

Williams, a 2015 third-round pick, was down on the field for several minutes with the medical staff from both teams. The Saints are now down two cornerbacks with Delvin Breaux already out for a significant period of time due to a broken fibula.
