Richard Sherman tries to defend his controversial play against Falcons

The Seattle Seahawks came away with a critical win over the Falcons on Sunday, but what many will remember is the controversial no-call on a potential pass interference on Atlanta’s final play.

On fourth-and-10, Matt Ryan threw a deep pass to Pro Bowl wideout Julio Jones, who was being defended by Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas. It looked like the Seattle defenders made contact with Jones before the ball reached them, but no flag was thrown.

You’d think the Seahawks would be happy, improving to 4-1. But Sherman appears to be upset with all the scrutiny over the play and tried to defend his actions by pointing to what occurred at the line of scrimmage.

Sherman’s reaction probably won’t silence the critics, but Seattle gets the last laugh and the win.
