Report: Patriots' Spikes in steamy video
Studying game film is the least of Brandon Spikes' cinematic concerns this week.
The NFL is looking into reports of a sexually explicit video purportedly including the New England Patriots rookie linebacker, The Boston Globe reported Wednesday. A source with knowledge of the situation told the paper that Spikes is seen in the video with a woman.
With the video showing up on several Internet sites, Spikes could face disciplinary action under the league’s rules of personal conduct policy.
Terry Watson, the agent for the the second-round selection out of Florida, was doing damage control Tuesday for his client, who is pushing for a starting spot in the lineup.
“Brandon is showing himself to be a high-character guy in the Boston community and has the promise of being a very good player,’’ he told the paper.
While at Florida, Spikes was involved in an eye-gouging incident against Georgia. He apologized and was suspended for the first half of the Gators’ next game.
