Odell Beckham Jr. is giving back to his home state of Louisiana in light of recent flooding.

The Giants wideout, who grew up in New Orleans and played football at LSU, has pledged $500,000 from jersey sales to help repair fields that were wiped out during this summer’s rains. The money will come from fans who purchase the Giants’ new “Color Rush” jerseys.

The region continues to deal with flooding and increased flood damage.

Beckham helped raise money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in a softball game last summer, and helped benefit the Ryan McElroy Children's Cancer Foundation in Pawling, N.Y. this year.
