Gary Kubiak is sticking with Trevor Siemian but says he 'has to get better'

The Denver Broncos are no longer in control of the AFC West after their 30-20 loss to the Raiders on Sunday night. Head coach Gary Kubiak isn’t pressing the panic button just yet, but he does believe Denver needs more from the quarterback position.

While Kubiak isn’t ready to make a change, he does want to see more out of Trevor Siemian, who has failed to complete at least 60 percent of his passes in Denver’s past three games.

“I feel really good about what Trevor is doing,” Kubiak told reporters Monday. “But Trevor is like any other player. He has to get better.”

Siemian has thrown for more than 300 yards once this season, and Sunday’s loss was the second time this year he has thrown multiple touchdowns in a game.

Denver first-round pick Paxton Lynch didn't appear ready during his two-game stint last month. The Broncos hope Siemian can begin to turn it around against the Saints on Sunday.
