In 2013, Florida State kicker Roberto Aguayo hit 21-of-22 field goals and all 94 of his extra point attempts, helping the Seminoles win the BCS National Championship. His 2014 season was nearly as impressive: Aguayo hit 27-of-30 field goals and all 55 extra points he attempted. He’s also one of the few kickers who has ever had to clarify whether or not he’d declare early for the NFL Draft.

Between the gaudy stats and the number of high pressure, high leverage kicks that he’s made in his career, is Aguayo the best kicker in college football history? He thinks so.

Considering the uproar when he lost the 2014 Lou Groza Award, Aguayo may be right. Aguayo has also predicted that he’ll win back that award, which he took home in 2013. Even if he’s not the greatest kicker ever, he has to be on the short list.
