Cowboys open Thanksgiving game with simple strategy: Feed Zeke
It’s Thanksgiving Day, and Ezekiel Elliott is hungry, so if you’re the Dallas Cowboys, your strategy is simple:
That’s what they did on the opening drive Thursday against the Washington Redskins:
1st and 10, DAL 25: Lucky Whitehead rushes for 15 yards.
1st and 10, DAL 40: Pass to Zeke for 4 yards.
2nd and 6, DAL 44: Zeke for 20 yards.
1st and 10, WSH 36: Zeke for 12 yards.
1st and 10, WSH 24: Pass to Beasley for 13 yards.
1st and 10, WSH 11: Zeke for 7 yards.
2nd and 3: Zeke for 4 yards, TD
Even when Elliott’s feet stopped moving, Zach Martin and the O-line kept him moving forward.

On the day known for eating, the NFL's biggest Thanksgiving stage will belong to Ezekiel Elliott. Eat, Zeke, eat.
