Bills place Matt Milano, Taron Johnson on injured reserve

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — The Buffalo Bills have placed starting linebacker Matt Milano and cornerback Taron Johnson on the season-ending injured reserve list.

The moves were made on Tuesday, a day after Milano had surgery for a broken left leg. The second-year starter broke his fibula in the final minutes of a 27-23 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday.

Johnson had surgery last week for a shoulder injury that had nagged him for much of the season.

The Bills are out of playoff contention with a 4-9 record, and host the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
