American Haas F1 team gets both cars in points at Monaco

Two years into the team’s time in Formula One, the U.S.-based Haas F1 Team has finally finished a race with both cars in the points, at none circuit other than Monaco.

Romain Grosjean started and finished in eighth while Kevin Magnussen started 11th and finished 10th.

While it was a calm race for Grosjean, things weren’t easy for Magnussen.

Magnussen had actually qualified 13th but gained two spots on the grid due to penalties for the McLaren teammates.

He then passed two cars on the opening lap of the race to move up to ninth.

However, things didn’t go well for the Danish racing driver during his round of stops, and he found himself back in 13th with 20 laps to go.

Things worked out in his favor though when things got messy following a late-race restart. Stoffel Vandoorne ended up in the wall at Ste. Devote while battling Sergio Perez for 10th, and then Perez collected the Toro Rosso of Daniil Kvyat while battling for position. Kvyat was out while Perez had to pit, moving Magnussen up to 10th where he finished.
